CCP Foundation is an organization of Ex Teachers and Ex Cadets of Cadet Colleges in Bangladesh. We are completing five years of journey in Kancha Bazar, Donkkhin khan. In 2011 it was a slum, located on a low land; dirty, filthy, full of garbage.  Three families were living without water, electricity, toilet facility in huts without windows. We decided to build our school here and leased the land for five years. We filled up the land with debris and soil, built a tin shed, furnished with several benches and started our school for play group to grade five. We had five teachers, three females and two males.  We had very high hope for this place. Kids from dirt poor families would have an opportunity get proper education. We also had plans to provide them technical vocational education and also to open a daycare.

Our Slogan is “ Education For All” with this slogan we are running our schools for underprivileged children without any good infrastructures. No light,no fan, no water.  And yet, as the waves of development by city corporation hits the area with new buildings being built and roads are being constructed, there is a valid fear that pretty soon the land prices here would increase too much and would rise beyond our affordability. With only taka 25000 per month it is a continuous struggle to keep it floating as is.  Our dream of making education available to the most underprivileged children, to allow them to have a dream to be successful one day is at stake. We need to secure our own land and build a new school so that no uncertainty can stop our progress and take away the dream of a better future from our students who come from dirt poor families and often attend classes hungry.  We had started a Tiffin Project to feed the kids a hot meal once a week but eventually had to dispose it due to shortage of fund. Instead we provide them with small snacks consisting a banana or Singara.

We are continuously looking for help. Together there’s so much we can do  to assist these kids and their families. They truly need our help and they need it today, now.
